The Twin Cities Jewish Labor Bund

We are a Left-leaning, pro-union, anti-colonialist, anti-Zionist, pro-Indigenous group that organizes the Jewish community around the Bundist values of Doikayt (hereness), Khavershaft (solidarity or "comradery") and Yiddishkeit (Jewishness). Anyone with compatible values wishing to join us (regardless of religious affiliation) may reach out to us via social media, email or text.

We operate out of the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota, on the unceded land of the Dakota.
Our Mission Statement:

The Twin Cities Jewish Labor Bund, inspired by the spirit of Yiddishkeit (secular Judaism), will work on popular education about the international Jewish labor bunds' philosophy and history, and collaborate with local justice movements to build political autonomy and empower the working class and disenfranchised within our communities.

More Information

Jewish Labour Bund, Melbourne Chapter
The Jewish Labour Bund in Melbourne is the longest continuously existing Bund organization in the world.

YiddishKayt
Yiddishkayt (Jewishness) is an organization that archives and promotes Yiddish culture. This page is a brief biography of S. An-sky, an important Yiddish poet and playwright. There are links to his works: “The Oath,” a kind of anthem for the Bund, and a film adaptation of “The Dybbuk,” a play An-sky developed while doing ethnographies in the Pale, an area of Russia where many Jews were ghettoized when the Bund was formed.

YIVO Panel Discussion
This is a video by YIVO of a panel discussion about “neo-Bundism” or recent developments in recovering the legacies of Bundism. This panel gets more into the principles of Bundism, including doykeit and Yiddish language usage, as well as programming and publications. Check out YIVO for more information about that organization.

A play on words (Jewish + witches), it was the perfect name for everything it aimed to create. In 2021, Jewitches launched the shop: a place to find all the things a Jewitch could ever want, featuring unique and carefully curated pieces."

Radical Jewish Calendar
"The Radical Jewish Calendar is organized by Jewish month, layering Jewish and Gregorian dates, astrological happenings, holidays, and political history. Twelve months of political art, culture, and history made by dreamers, artists, and organizers who want to know what time it is."
